50th anniversary of Rosa Parks' famous incident
I saw a sign on a Chapel Hill bus comemorating the 50th anniversary of Rosa Parks' stand to insist on sitting (pardon the pun) in a bus rather than give up her seat to a white passenger (on 12/1/55). She died recently (on 10/24/05).
