Spring training!
As you can see from this page, the first published spring training box scores are coming out tomorrow night. (Baseball's spring training recently started.) I don't know if I'll be able to get the audio for any of tomorrow's games, but I'll be able to soon!!!! This will be a nice audio backdrop for my continuing work on my grant proposals. (If there is video, I'll just have to have the baseball game on screen while I continue working on my grant proposals. I seem to be overloaded with those these days...)
Last I checked, the games tomorrow aren't being covered with audio/video, at least via mlb.com (my wife's parents got me a full subscription so I can watch games online, yay!). But wednesday has several, and a few with video, and the frequency looks increasingly high as the month ends. :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like I can get the Dodgers on the radio on Thursday and on tv on Friday. (My service is also through mlb.com.) Plus, these should be mostly at reasonable times for me. The Friday game starts at 6pm, so I'll miss a little bit because of dinner but then I'll be able to get the rest of the game.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, I can use this to spend the needed time on the grant proposals and get them out of the way.
It's definitely the right time of year -- for Greg to start taunting Mason and the Dodgers!
ReplyDeleteAnd hey, I can root for the Giants again now that Barroid is gone!
I'm not sure how much ammunition a Giants supporter is going to have to mock just about any other team.*
ReplyDelete* Then again, if Juan Pierre is actually getting a large amount playing time, please feel free to mock Joe Torre to your heart's content (at least when it comes to that).
I caught the Rockies vs White Sox game today (via the archive thingy) while doing thesis work. Ah... it was so nice to have it on in the background, just the play by play talk was relaxing. Looking forward to the Dodgers/Braves game tomorrow (thursday), if I can wake up in time for it. I'll miss the one friday due to a doctor's appointment, sigh, and that one would probably have video too. But I can see it later :)
ReplyDeleteI saw about 1.5 innings of Rockies-White Sox after my D & D session ended. Tonight's Dodger game is radio only. I'll miss the first 30 minutes due to dinner, but then I expect to listen to the rest of it while I make some headway on another grant proposal.
