My name is Mason Porter. I am a Professor in Nordita (Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics) and am Professor in Complex Systems in the Department of Mathematics at Stockholm University. Previously, I was a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at UCLA. Before that, I was Professor of Nonlinear and Complex Systems in the Mathematical Institute at University of Oxford. I was also a Tutorial Fellow of Somerville College. I am still a Senior Research Fellow of Somerville College.

Dodgers stretch lead to 8.5 games!
The Dodgers now have an 8.5 game lead in the National League West. We have the best record in baseball, the largest lead in baseball (the second largest is 3 games---Texas over the Angels in the American League West), the best run differential in baseball, and all sorts of other excellent qualities. I can't expect us to maintain this pace, but I'm sure as Hell enjoying it!
