Acronyms and "Sophistication"
Fun Fact: If you give something an acronym, it will sound more sophisticated
even when it really isn't.
Some examples: DNS for "directed numerical simulations", ROI for "region of
interest", and AUC for "area under the curve".
Scientists are very good at this, by the way. :)
