Grassroots CD Recording

Jill Sobule is officially awesome.

(If the name isn't familiar, two of her best-known songs are I Kissed Girl, which is one of the best songs of the 90s, and Bitter.)

For some reason, "I Kissed Girl" sounds like a much different song and tone than "I Kissed A Girl". I just saw that link via a different source, wish I'd known about it while she was still trying to raise money for it, it's a very cool idea.

You're right: That typo does indeed change the tone quite a bit.

It's worth noting that Sobule's "I Kissed a Girl" is a completely different song from the Katy Perry "I Kissed a Girl" that's been on the radio recently. And it's much better, too.

I haven't listened to the recent song, though when I heard of the title a while back, I did look it up to see whether it was a cover. Given the current state of music on the radio, I'm not at all surprised that Sobule's song is much better. (Plus, Sobule's song is so good that I'd be really impressed if the new one were better.)
