Exploring the World of xkcd

Wow, today's xkcd is awesome! I haven't explored all of it yet --- and maybe I haven't gotten anywhere close to all of it? --- but I'll have to stop now because I urgently need to get some things done. Still, this is awesome! [Maybe today was not the optimal day for this particular one to come out, but that's hardly the worst problem in my life. I'll just have to look at it more later. :) ]

Update: This particular xkcd is not only awesome but also supremely evil, especially for those of us with OCD.

I be seein' at least 2 (maybe 3) Mario references, Matey!

Where be the Oregon Trail? I went underground near the first pipes... (I did recently find a spaceship.) There is supposed to be a pirate reference, too (which, of course, 'ad to be done), but I ha'nt be seein' it. Arrrrrrr!

Pirate - pretty far to the left. If you found the X-wing, go up to the surface from there, the ship should be somewhere vaguely in that vicinity. Probably a bit to the right from there, actually, since I think the X-wing shaft was where I went underground...

Oregon Trail - keep going right after the Mario blocks and the shafts polished smooth by billions of falling Mario corpses. The wagon was on the prairie on the far side of a suspension bridge.

I think I've seen everything underground, and definitely everything on the surface to the right (finally hit the right edge). Haven't gone back to push to the left edge, haven't explored the sky beyond the obvious towers.

Unless I missed something, the left edge at ground level didn't have much. I kind of figured that Oregon Trail would be to the right of Mario. At the moment, I've been following a bunch of underground tunnels and have gotten back pretty far to the left at this point.

This might help - zoomable version. Just finished exploring the rest, much faster this way. :-)
