Fastest. Rejection. Ever. (I wonder if this is a new world record?)
Today, Nature Communications desk-rejected our paper 2 hours and 1 minute after we submitted it.

I've heard of a 15 minute rejection from either Science or Nature.
Then I'll definitely need to work harder.
I can see it now: "The science behind breaking the world record for scientific paper rejection", a discussion of the necessary components to build a microsecond filtering system on the publisher side to perform extremely fast scanning and filtering of incoming article submissions.
Z: Well, as long as the decisions are no worse than the ones that actual editors make... ;)
