'Crocodile Hunter' killed by stringray

Yesterday, 'Crocodile Hunter' Steve Irwin 44 died after he was stung by a stingray. His last act was pulling the barb out of his body. He was being videotaped for a television show at the time.

There are something like 14 deaths to Stingrays worldwide each year. Even having been stung, dying like that isn't common. Thing got him straight in the heart.

He basically had the presence of mind to pull out the stinger and then he entered cardiac arrest and was gone essentially immediately.
