My name is Mason Porter. I am a Professor in Nordita (Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics) and am Professor in Complex Systems in the Department of Mathematics at Stockholm University. Previously, I was a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at UCLA. Before that, I was Professor of Nonlinear and Complex Systems in the Mathematical Institute at University of Oxford. I was also a Tutorial Fellow of Somerville College. I am still a Senior Research Fellow of Somerville College.

- I am a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at UCLA. Previously, I was Professor of Nonlinear and Complex Systems in the Mathematical Institute at University of Oxford. Fun little read, thanks.
To be honest, I only looked at the pictures. :) Pictures of Lev Landau are pretty amusing too, and my understanding is that one of the reasons that She Who Shall Not Be Named was infatuated with me was that I bear some resemblance to Landau. I just wish I were in his class as a physicist!
By the way, it would be nice to catch up by audio or video IM in the near future.
