I Want Labeled Axes!
I want labeled axes --- or possibly a giant sign for his door that says "Label your fucking axes!"
Misinterpretations are also welcome.
(We'll see if there are some labeled battle-axes or something similar waiting for me when I return to Oxford.)
As Rachel Gray points out, there is an an appropriate xkcd for the occasion that involves ending relationships and lack of axis labels. There is also another strip --- I think it might also have been xkcd? --- about putting snarky labels on any unlabeled axes submitted by students. I saw this a couple of years ago, and I might add a link to it later. (I looked briefly just now and couldn't find it, and I don't feel like looking more at the moment.)

+3 Vorpal Red Pen
My weapon of choice is a +3 Vorpal Red Pen (+5 against power laws).
It was forged in the hellfire pits of Caltech, frozen in Cornell, thawed in Georgia Tech, and refined in Caltech, and Oxford.

The Gay Bomb
Last night, Lemming mentioned that a gay bomb was proposed by the U.S. military back in 1994. The gist is that the enemy soldiers who were hit by this would be given homosexual desires along with a major dose of aphrodisiac and would then be more interested in boinking their fellow soldiers than in fighting. Wow. You can read some more details here.
When Lemming first brought it up, I had assumed he was talking about a parody story. I did a double-take. (I was also playing Guitar Hero at the time, so I couldn't completely divert my attention to him.
